Model T Ignition System

Some Model T Ford owners have found difficulty in maintaining the proper vibrator contact adjustment on each of the individual coils. Additionally, the internal capacitor is often bad or its capacitance is out of tolerance. This article describes a simple electronic vibrator that eliminates the need for the contact points and capacitors.

First Out Indicator (FOI)

Used to indicate the first in a series of contacts to open, the FOI will lock and display the first contact to open,, locking out all other contacts that open later. This is a useful troubleshooting tool for industrial systems when it is not evident which contact opening caused the equipment to shutdown. Is also useful for any application where it is desired to know the first in a sequence of events.
